2020 PaNOSC & ExPaNDS Annual Meeting

The Extreme-Light-Infrastructure (ELI) is pleased to invite you to attend the annual meeting of the Photon and Neutron Open Science Cloud  (PaNOSC) and the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) Photon and Neutron Data Service (ExPaNDS) projects that will be held on 9-11 November 2020 at ELI Beamlines in the outskirts of Prague in Dolní Břežany, Czech Republic.

The common goal of the PaNOSC and ExPaNDS projects is making science data reliable and reproducible (FAIR). This first joint annual meeting of the two projects is a great opportunity to promote and strengthen the close collaboration on broad range of topics.

The meeting will start right after lunch on Monday 9th November with a joint session, the European Photon and Neutron (PaN) EOSC Symposium, open to external stakeholders.

During the 1st session, PaNOSC and ExPaNDS coordinators will introduce the two projects, and will present use cases and perspectives for future EOSC services. Renowned representatives of ESFRI – European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures, EOSC – European Open Science Cloud bodies, and EOSC-hub and EOSC-Life projects will also provide insights on the perspectives for the PaN communities in the next phase of EOSC. A panel discussion will follow, with the aim of collecting feedback and advice from PaN users on their requirements, in order to better address their needs in the development of the technologies and services to make PaN data Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Re-usable (FAIR).

Tuesday 10th November will be dedicated to internal meetings among the Work Package members of both projects. The meeting will conclude with a wrap-up session on Wednesday 11th November morning.

Registration is free of charge. Participants are responsible for organizing and paying their own travel costs to the venue as well as for their accommodation.
