GOOD TO KNOW

Badges  
You will receive your personalized name badge when you register. Please wear your name badge throughout the conference, in particular for the coffee and lunch breaks. In case you have lost your badge, please report at the conference office.

Cash
ATMs (cash dispensers) are available at most of the banks in downtown Prague; often they are accessible 24 h/day.

Certificate of Attendance
A certificate of attendance will be issued upon request at the conference & registration desk.

Currency
Czech Crowns are the official currency in the Czech Republic. Foreign currency exchange is available at Václav Havel Airport Prague and at most hotels, banks and exchange offices throughout the city. International credit cards are accepted for payment in hotels, restaurants and shops. Paying by cash in Euro is also possible in some restaurants and shops.

Electricity
The Czech Republic uses a 230V/50 Hz system. Sockets are the standard European type (two-prong round pin plugs with a hole for a male grounding pin are standard). To use electric appliances from your country you may need a special voltage converter with an adapter plug.

Insurance and Liability
The Organizers do not accept liability for personal injury or loss or damage of private property of participants and accompanying persons either during or while traveling to the conference. Participants are strongly recommended to seek insurance coverage for health and accident, lost luggage and trip cancellation.

Language
The official language of the conference is English.

Mobile Phones
Participants are kindly requested to keep their mobile phones off in the meeting rooms during sessions.

Time Zone
Prague is in the Central European time zone. Central European Standard Time (CET) is 1 hour ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).

Visas
Entry visas are required from some foreign citizens.

Please, check with your travel agencies or with the consular offices of the Czech embassies whether you need a visa for the Czech Republic.

Don´t hesitate to contact the conference office if you need a Visa Support Letter for your visa procedures.

- A Visa Support Letter will be issued only after you are successfully registered.

- A Visa Support Letter will be issued via e-mail in PDF format.

- Obtaining a Visa Support Letter will not guarantee that your visa application will be approved.

- The letter is merely supplementary information that explains a visa applicant's intended purpose of travel to the Czech Republic.

WiFi
WiFi is available in all conference areas free of charge.

Czech Language
Even though at all the hotels, shops and restaurants in Prague are English spoken, we include a few basic Czech words and sentences that can be useful during your stay in Prague :-).
