!!! NOTICE !!!
Due to the situation of COVID-19 the conference is going to be organized in 2022.
New deadlines will be announced as soon as the situation allows us to create a new organization plan.
Thank you for understanding.
The new official name of the event is the 13th International Workshop on Emerging Technologies and Scientific Facilities Controls, but we are still keeping all traditional aspects of PCaPAC and the workshop will focus on low-cost control systems using PC technology for control & data acquisition systems and emerging technologies.
The PCaPAC 2021 will be hosted by ELI Beamlines in Dolní Břežany in the Czech Republic in 2022 (TBC).
The Extreme Light Infrastructure (ELI) is the world’s first truly international laser research infrastructure. Implemented as a distributed research infrastructure based initially on 3 specialized and complementary facilities – ELI Beamlines (Czech Republic), ELI-ALPS (Hungary), and ELI-NP (Romania) designed primarily for user-based research.
The ELI Facilities will provide unique sources of radiation and particle beams and lasers with high peak powers of 1-10 PW (Petawatt) at enhanced repetition rates and focused intensities up above 1022W/cm2 with the aim to reach over 1023W/cm2 at a later stage. Using these and lower power lasers, a number of experimental stations and beamlines are constructed to offer new research capabilities with and on secondary sources of x-rays and particles for users. These beamlines will enable ground-breaking research not only in the fields of fundamental physics and material science, but also in biomedical research, and laboratory astrophysics.
The ELI Facilities will be operated as an integrated organisation under a European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ELI ERIC) with international membership. ELI ERIC is in the process of being legally established.
We look forward to meeting you!
